“Whitta's decision to recruit ball-handlers later in the season cost the Wildcats today. The amazons backed off the skaven throughout their first drive, and it looked like this might pay off, as the skaven coughed up the ball in the Wildcats' endzone. But Amanda failed to pick up the ball, in the first of a series of mishaps, resulting in a simple TD for Squesh.

Needing a quick equaliser, the amazons survived a skaven blitz from the kick off. Lynn tossed the ball to Jaguar, who set off up the amazon's right flank. On the line of scrimmage, the Wildcats merrily set about the rats, until disaster struck, as Tiger's collar bone was smashed by Braaduth (effectively ending her career). Jaguar was then knocked out, the ball scattering from her hands, and although Julie was able to retrieve it, she tripped as she entered the endzone.

The start of the second half saw both teams reduced to nine players, but the amazons were down two blitzers. Chasing the game, the amazons threatened a quick TD, with a slick hand-off/pass combo. Sadly, the only slick thing was the ball, which slipped from Searles' fingers. Sure enough, the skaven quickly recovered the ball. Some truly pathetic amazon blocking followed, before the skaven skittered to their second TD.

Chasing the draw, the amazons were dismayed to see the rats re-organise their defence before the start of the drive. Suddenly out-numbered on the line of scrimmage, the amazons went straight for the ball, which Julie dropped. Rats scrambled after her, tripping her as she scrambled for the ball a second time, resulting in a horribly easy third WarpRage TD.

The Wildcats fans were rightly disgusted with this frustrating display, where rotten ball handling, and some awful blocking, gifted WarpRage a flattering victory.”
