#5 Sarah – Dead (RIP)
#7 Helen – Dead (RIP)
Although the result was a draw, the Wildcats lost out to the rampant Norsemen, on this occasion.

Early blocking exchanges were fairly even between the teams, but the amazons struggled to make their blocks count. The Norse, on the other hand, sent players to the dug-out with abandon, one of them (Sarah), in several pieces!

Although Cheetah was able to shove Blitzer Biff into the stands before he could score, the ball soon found its way back into Norse hands. Still, the Wildcats battled on, stripping the ball a second time. Panther grabbed the ball, and sprinted for the endzone, pursued by three of the Throng, to no avail. The five amazons that walked off the pitch wondered if it would be enough...

The Wildcats started the second half out-numbered eight to ten. They gambled on a quick TD, to give their two KO'd players another chance to recover, but this back-fired when Lynx was stunned, and then Helen was killed on the line of scrimmage. One turn into the half, the Wildcats were down to six players, with their receivers surrounded.

Weaving dangerously close to the Throng's endzone, Amanda's legs eventually abandoned her, before Panther could release the ball. It took no less than six Norsemen to get the ball off her, but once they had, the Amazons couldn't get it back, and the Throng quickly equalised.

Seven unenviable amazons trooped back onto the pitch, with three turns to find their way through the pack of Norsemen before them. Panther did just that, smashing and gouging and sprinting... and tripping. The pitch was obviously slick with blood and gore at this point, as Thror did the same thing the following turn, and Lynn the turn after that.

Still, Blitzer Bob was eventually able to get the ball to Catcher Chris, who zipped off down the sideline. Too close to the sideline, as it happens, and Julie was able to slip away from her marker and shove Chris into the crowd, who obligingly threw the ball back in... right at the feet of Lineman Linus, just seven paces away from the endzone!

Two amazons and five Norsemen rushed after the ball, which bounced away from Linus in the ensuing fracas. Despite the attentions of five lusty Norsemen, Searles was able to keep her feet long enough to kick Linus in the behind as he scrambled for the ball, and the game ended a draw.

That night, Whitta was once again left counting the cost of that damn cheerleader, as his Wildcats danced around the funeral pyres of their fallen sisters...
