#6 Tofu Tom – Dead (RIP)
#11 Ammo – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#11 Ammo – Smashed Knee (NI)
While my opponent did play well, I think the MVP has to go to Nuffle for one of his all time most hilarious matches!
He eased me in gently with a few failed Really Stupid rolls, and an injury each turn by my opponents psychopathic Claw/RSC/Block Mecha. (In comparison my MightyBlow/RSC/Block/MultipleBlock Beast made no injuries in the time it took Ian to get his first 4! (hitting one av lower he had exactly the same probability of getting a cas as his counterpart, and on top of this he was presented with a multiple block opportunity several times (often with 3 dice!))).
Nuffle soon decided to up the stakes - triple skulls with Beast with block sent him crashing to the ground, where he was swiftly fouled into the KO box (in the same turn that my other beast managed to find his way there without the assistance of a deathroller!!)
To add insult to a plethora of injuries, my nurgling with Big Hand, sure feet and sprint (who would later be fouled into retirement), hit a nice pair of snakes on his way to the endzone in order to stop me from scoring. No worries though... my opponent couldn't get to the ball either. All I needed to do was push back the one slave who could get close, Big Hand the ball, and GFI towards the touchline. I managed this and ended up one square from a touchdown. Tense times, my opponent could manage a one dice blitz - but with no block or tackle, it wasn't particularly li... oh no he's done it! Oh well, I 'll just stand up, use Big Hand again and score nex... oh no he's broken my armour and knocked me out.
Finishing the first half with two players on the pitch was always a good sign. But it was 0-0... anything could happen.
What actually happened was that my two beasts failed to come back from KO, and the rest of my plays were blitzed or fouled off the pitch one by one. Total pitch clearance before a T14 touch down to a 1-0 victory.

Having refused a single SPP to my beast triphazard - very close to his third skill - Nuffle giggled manically to himself as he played one final practical joke. Awarded him the MVP and then aged him a niggling injury! Thanks Nuffle - you're off the Christmas card list!

Having lost several good players, had others gain niggles, and several missing the next game, I'm going to struggle to field 10 players next game, and struggle even more to win without a Big Hand (not that we've been winning much anyway!).

But it was a fun well spirited game, and that's what counts. Congrats to my opponent whose psychopathic Mecha has just rolled his third double, I'm sure he'll blitz many a team into retirement in the not too distant future - but not BtB! They survive to fight another day. Just about!
