“The fifth matchup for the White Lion Express was a back and forth game against the dreaded Goats with Silly Hats. The Goats players were jealous of each others skills forcing some infighting on the team and allowing the Lions a bit of an advantage.
The first half kickoff saw the Goats field it and begin to move up the sidelines. The Lions pressured early as is their style and forced a turnover. However the Lions player couldn't get out of the scrum with the ball and the Goats soon recovered it to push deep into Lion territory. The Lions never had another chance at the ball and the goats walked in for the easy one nothing. With little time remaining in the half the lions lined up to try and put the equalizer on the board. The LOS was busy with activity as the Lions saw 1 push and then another and the ball was delivered to the catcher. Needing just one more push before he put on a burst of speed the catcher hollered for help but noticed the last blocker had smacked his head awkwardly on the hobgoblin and was going down to the turf.
The second half the Lions received the ball, and after being held up well at the line of scrimmage they broke through and tried to protect the ball deep in the Goats half. Their star bull was having none of this and broke 2 tackles to blitz the ball and put Earmio on the ground. Luckily for the lions the goats could not manuever anyone to the ball after the fans through it back to the middle of the pitch. The Lions tried to pick up and throw it all the way to the other side of the field but their thrower fumbled the pass! Luckily Usha, the other bull, forgot how to block and knocked himself down early the following turn. This allowed the Lions the time they needed to huddle up on the ball and secure it for the 1-1 tie.
Good game Goat wish you a victory in the near future!”
