“Things started off looking pretty good for the Greenatics. They received the opening kickoff and started an efficient crushing of my line back towards my own end zone. An advantage in Guard led to a lot more favorable blocks, and everything seemed to indicate a long touchdown in the woks.
But then things bogged down. The Legion overloaded the leading edge of the offense, stranding their troll and a BoB to tie up 4 Greenatics while the rest of the team pushed back the offense. When the Greenatics were forced to reverse back to the middle of the pitch with the ball, there was a lot of leftover tackle zones in contact. The Legion was able to make a 1db Push to open up a tiny gap, but with orcelf magic, an AG5 blitz through multiple tackle zones freed up the ball. Unfortunately GFI's are failures on 1's regardless, and I had to roll a lot of dice to get where I got, and tripped. The ensuing melee took nearly the rest of the half to resolve, but it ended with one of my orcdancers scoring to go up 1-0.
The second half was a bit of a mirror of the first. The Legion pushed up the field, and had to reverse course a couple times due to the defenses reacting in time to seal off my wedge. The problem for neophyte was that as his luck dwindled, mine improved. The Legion started getting random casualties to upset the numbers on the pitch, and started beating up on the Greenatics. The wedge eventually worked and the Legion's thrower walked over to the end zone to wait for the end of the game. The Greenatics retrenched at midfield to try to wring a few spp out of the stragglers I couldn't get in on the stalling party. Up 1-0, I took a little risk and handed off to a BoB who was in desperate need of block and only 2 spp from getting it. Mission Accomplished.
GG Neophyte, and I still don't know the proper way to deal with high-AG orcs. I hope no one comes up with a good way, frankly.”
