“Our chaos face Forteza's dark elves in a very fair-looking match.
We kick and their first turn sees a double-1 pass (for a skillup) that _should_ let us get near the ball.. but we just can't make a gap in their line. On turn 2 they rush their sole blodger through with the ball- but we're able to blitz back with a CW and get the POW we need! It's a stun and the CW GFIs onto the ball but fails to pick it up. Eventually we grab the ball (and then KO their blodger with a foul) and run it upfield.. but fail to catch a crucial handoff. The elves pick it up in a tackle zone, dodge away but then fail the pass and the ball is loose in their backfield. We can't quite regain it and they are able to get the ball right downfield on turn 7 in typical elvish fashion, and they then score on turn 8 when our 2d blitz can only push-back.
1-0 down and we've two rookie beastmen in the BH box vs a full dark elf squad, though it's still 11v11. A touchback lets us hand the ball to our new CW and we rumble forwards ever so slowly. The elves are defending extremely well however, man-marking him time and again, and only foiled from 2d blitzing him over by 1s on key dodges. Eventually we're just about able to blitz him free to score and make it 1-1 on turn 7... leaving the elves just enough time to counter. Can they do it? They have no rerolls and two turns left.
And once again a 1 at a bad time (as they pass to their blodger) ruins it for them- we're easily able to take out the only player within range and seal the draw. Good game Forteza!”
