This match, the second of Tvarnholm's scheduled international crossovers, was forced to start in pouring rain and was fated to end that way.

The Dwarves had hired a Rune Smith that was meant to embue them with great and magical powers or some such nonsense by placing Runes on their armour. Yeah? From what my boys were seeing he may as well have been putting Runes on their asses! Heh! Dwarves, you gotta laugh...

Anyway, we won the toss to start with (a good omen, that) and set about storming our way through the Dwarf lines. Our storming was at least as fearsome as that which was raging around us and we scored pretty comfortably. Not too fast, not too slow. Just right.

Our short legged opponents didn't have enough pace to get over the line before half time, and we actually almost managed to put another one on the scoreboard, but it was getting pretty wet out there and picking up the ball wasn't much easier than tackling a greased pig.

So the second half started with our Bearskins leading and with plenty of fighting men left on both sides. Not to say that the battling hadn't been furious in the first half, of course it had! Just no permanent damage really... except for one of the Dwarves, Dorak Stoneheart, he'd stumbled into the crowd at one point and the cheersquad had gouged his eye to help him watch where he was going in future. Hehe!

The Dwarves were receiving now and made with the Iron Cage the way Dwarves do. We were having a bit of trouble cracking it open as the Dwarves seemed to have found some renewed strength during the break and were fighting like demons. Their fists were inspired for a bit there and a good deal of our boys had to be carted off. We tried to stop them but we just didn't have enough men. After a bit of stalling, another Dwarf playbook favourite that, they scored the equaliser.

Time was running short (on account of the stalling) and we were undermanned for our final drive. I tell you what though, we've won the last 5 games running and it ain't no coincidence that running is just the way we like it. A quick pass to Kori and he was running all the way to the endzone. Boom! Victory!
That makes it 6 in a row now for the Bearskins. We are unstoppable!

The Dwarves fight hard and drink pretty hard too. By Almighty Tvarn, we wish them well in their league and look forward to beating them again in the finals!

Thanks for the game Grue. Well played, it could have gone either way really. :)
