“Our chaos face Emeyin's dark elves. Their DP is MNG'd so they have just 11 for the game. They win the toss and opt to kick since it's pouring rain.
Our +AGI CW collects and we start the bashing game with no real success. Eventually our defense gets pulled apart a bit too much and the elves pour through after the ball, and we aren't able to put up much of a defense, particularly with repeated 1s by our troll when we needed him most. By turn 6 they have the ball by our endzone and have ensured retirement of a beastman with a crowdpush for -STR. They stall out the half, scoring with ease on turn 8.
The rain clears up nicely for the elves just as we kick. They pull the ball back deep into their half as we mark their runners and start removing some elves, badly hurting a blitzer with a gang foul and then KO'ing a lineelf. But it's not enough as they dodge and pass the ball upfield, and we just can't knock down the blitzer before he scores to make it 2-0 on turn 5.
Too late, too late we get the hits in and soon there's just 7 dark elves trying to hold us back as we rush our AGI4 CW upfield to score on the final turn of the game.
“Knights of Dread won the coin toss and chose to receive due to the pouring rain. King Cobra was able to pick up the ball thanks to the agile Chaos Warrior, Egyptian Cobra. Egyptian Cobra ran to his front lines and took cover behind his Troll, Bite Victim. The Dark Elves put pressure on the Chaos lines with skirmishes on the left and right wings of the field. King Cobra was being divided into three different groups. When the time was right, the Knights sprung their attack. Nagash came with a hit that knocked the ball loose from the Chaos ball carrier. Judas tried to pick up the ball but failed. At the critical moment of the game, Bite Victim, went really stupid and just stood there scratching his belly. This left Judas with a second attempt to pick the ball up and run it in just as time ran out in the first half.
The second half started with KoD receiving. Linken dropped back to pass and the Chaos forces had the Dark Elf lines hard pressed. Emeyin and Draeke played the two man game against two Beastmen and a Chaos Warrior trying to free themselves up for a reception. Linken could smell the rushing Beastman coming for him and he ran forward to hand off the ball to Darkstorn. The Wishmaster miscalculated the distance of the throw but Darkstorn pulled through with a long pass to Emeyin who got free thanks to his brother's, Draeke's, blitz that knocked his man off him. Emeyin was so surprised that he caught the ball that he just stood there. Egyptian Cobra then had an easy attempt at him but the Chaos Warrior choked with the game on the line. All he could do was push the Blitzer back. Emeyin dodged twice and went for it all on his next turn making up for his mistake.
King Cobra received and the Dark Elves with several players down and the game won, backed away and gave the Chaos space to operate. With little resistance, Egyptian Cobra ran in a touchdown to prevent the shutout.

Good game, clarkin!! Thanks for the match, mate! It was a pleasure playing someone who didn't whine about his bad luck or my good luck despite being justified. Cya in the BBox! ”
