“Game 49 for our gobbos sees us up against chaos for the 2nd time running, and again no tacklers- sweet! We also have Nobbla along for the party and there's just 11 of them- if we can get some early injuries we will do well!
We kick and they start things in style, badly hurting one of our trolls with their initial blocks, though luckily he regens! They also KO a gobbo with their foul. We counter with a multiblock blitz that KOs a beastman. The next turn the saw starts at last, but they KO another goblin right after one badly hurts himself trying to dodge. Running out of players here!
We have 7 vs 10 and they have the ball, as they crowd deep in their half to stay away from the running chainsaw. We push forwards, using our apo to save a niggling on a random gobbo, and eventually they are able to get at Nobbla (after he KOs a CW), badly hurting him on their first blitz. Booooh!
They push on forwards, barely having enough time to score this half (having to go for a reroll-less 3+ pass 3+ catch and GFI in the end), but they do it, and both their KOs immediately wake up. Grumble grumble!
With one turn left we set up our sole 'catch' specialist for a TTM attempt- and everything goes perfectly .. we don't even need our reroll as he sails through the air and runs in the equaliser!
And now it's our turn to start the half well- we KO a chaos warrior with a troll, knock down the other into a fouling position, then crowd in for a 2d blitz vs their ogre with a goblin (!) to maximise the gang-DP, which badly hurts their CW! They are smacking us back however, niggling a gobbo and KO'ing another as we slowly push forwards. Eventually we are forced to run through without much backup and they knock over the ball carrier. Super gobbo Gimp is decides to steal the ball, then withstand a 6dice blitz, and then dodge away to safety with ease - once again proving why he's a fan favourite around here! He hands off to a waiting rookie and the win is sealed when we score on our final turn.
