“Handicaps for Me: Doom and Gloom (weak) & Extra Training (useless)

It was the GLT V High Coach Rating Qualifiers first round matchup between the Dreadknights and the Ultimate Mr. Men. Dark Elf vs Dark Elf. The Dreadknights received first and had Nathaniel drop back to pass. A few blows happened in the line of scrimmage but nothing too serious. At about the halfway point in the first half, Nathaniel handed the ball off to Emeyin who in turn passed it to Darkstorn who was covered by a Witch Elf. With no problems catching the ball he slipped away and scored a touchdown to put his team on the scoreboard first.

UMM received and they casually but purposely strode up the field. The cage was loose and the team was relaxed. The Wishmaster knew it was too early to do anything and he had his team perform evasive manuevers. The Star Player of UMM, Mr. Crash, was sure handed and could resist any attempts by Judas to strip the ball from him. It was a suicide mission with the dirty player Mr. Forrest Gump waiting in the wings. Now was not the time. However, despite their best efforts their numbers were slowly being whittled away between the savage blows and the dirty fouls. Not much DK could do against this drive and UMM scored relatively easily.

In the second half UMM received once again. Their offensive drive was similiar to the first half. The Dreadknights could not gain any positioning advantage due to the expert sidesteppers on the opposing team. DK did their best to contain them and not allow the fouls to hurt as much but Judas falling over (double 1's gfi) a body of the Dark Elf he just hit put him in a deadly situation. With the sight of the DK star blitzer on the ground they quickly rushed up and took advantage. Judas was seriously injured by the ensuing foul.

It was downhill from here. The Wishmaster knew he had to go all in at this point of the game. Draeke leapt in and knocked the ball carrier down (1d pow). The ball stayed inside the cage area and it could not be recovered by DK. The gutsy Blitzer was then thrown into the crowd but they appreciated his efforts and carried him back to the bench where he sat helplessly watching his team fall.

A couple miracle plays were attempted and Emeyin got a block attempt after dodging in(3+, 3+, 1d, push, rr, push). It didn't work well and Elric had another shot but he got all the way to the ball carrier but fell at the last second (1d on bc, but failed gfi). With the failed attempt, UMM was able to walk in the game winner and move on to the next round.
