“FIRST QUARTER: Snipers 1 - JFD 0
Team Jamaican Flying Dwarf (JFD) could scarely have a worse start. With one of their runners out with a niggling injury they faced a Snipers lineup that for the first time since Round 1 was full-strength and had two reserves. An ominous rain beat down, making the ball slippery, and the kickoff they received landed in the far back corner.
Runner Longleg Khorzi went scrambling to secure the ball for JFD as Gutter Runners broke through the Dwarf's line. Trollslayer Badman Redhair went into a frenzy and crowdsurfed two Snipers' players into the crowds, one of them the Snipers' only uninjured Storm Vermin, now seriously injured. Longlegs fumbled the ball in the slippery conditions, as Gutsy broke his tackle and aided by Cheeky, blitzed Longlegs into the stands and grabbed the ball to score on the second turn.

The Canneloni Curse seemed to have struck again as JFD received the ball for the second time... This time the ball bounced out and Longlegs received the kick-back. But trying to bring the ball up to the line of scrimmage, and relative safety, he tripped and the ball spilled free. Gutter Runners Gutsy and Dartsy pounced on the ball, but Dartsy's fingers slipped on the wet ball too. Desperately JFD managed to surround the ball, forcing Shadow to make a dangerous dodge in to get at the ball, which failed due to Badman Redhair's tackle.

SECOND QUARTER: Snipers 1 - JFD 0
As JFD began to bash their way out of trouble, Longleg finally managed to pick up the ball and ran into the Snipers' defense. Wilbur, a rookie linerat, dodged out and made a spectacular blitz on the ball-carrier. Longleg crashed backwards and the ball spilled free but before the Snipers could take advantage of this, their Gutter Runners were tackled to the ground by the determined Dwarven defense. As desperate struggle ensued as the clock ticked down and both sides tried and failed to pick up the slippery ball (Longleg failing three times!) The pitch became a mudpit as players slipped and pounded each other in one of the messiest displays I've ever seen. The Snipers couldn't throw a successful block to save themselves, but JFD couldn't pick up the ball and the half ended with the score still in the Snipers' favor.

THIRD QUARTER: Snipers 1 - JFD 0
At half time 10 Skaven faced off against 10 Dwarves and Coach Canneloni was hoping his fortunes would turn around. The Snipers' received and the wet weather struck again with Shadow dropping a regulation hand-off. In response JFD broke the Snipers' frail line and Longleg charged onto the ball, but Shadow recovered his senses, grabbed the ball, dodged past a wall of Dwarven defenders and ran deep into the JFD defense. Rudeboy Bluehair and Kico were the only dwarven players who could reach Shadow, but lacking tackle skills they had a 1 in 36 chance of preventing Shadow dodging free and scoring... and succeeded. JFD managed to secure and cage the ball and Longbeard Khazatuk would have killed Gutter Runner Cheeky were it not for the quick intervention of the Snipers' apothecary. Despite this the snipers managed to break the cage, dislodging the ball which landed in a puddle next to the sideline near the line of scrimmage.

FOURTH QUARTER: Snipers 1 - JFD 1
As Shadow ran for the endzone, players swarmed onto the ball. Somehow Gutter Runner Gutsy leapt into the fray, got the ball, dodged out and threw the ball to Shadow, who was unmarked and next to the end zone. Shadow dropped it but was out of range to all but the Dwarf Blitzer Kico. The Dwarf fans breathed a sigh of relief when Kico managed to run back, elbow Shadow out of the way and recover the ball. Kico charged up the field, despite being tackled and blitzed by three Gutter Runners at once. Kico fought them all off, putting Dartsy in hospital, and ran the ball up to Trollslayer Rudeboy Bluehair who caught the slippery ball. Against a depleted Skaven opposition Rudeboy was able to run the ball in un-opposed to score an unlikely touchdown on the last turn of the game and send the Dwarf fans into a riot of joy. It was a literal riot too which resulted in the consumption of numerous kegs of Stay Thirsty Dwarven lager and deaths of many many Skaven...”
