“Luck reading is out as my opponent had to go fight a fire with 4-5 turns left in the game and we had to reload.
Handicaps were:
I am the Greatest (206 SPP AG5 etc Thrower sat out entire match)
Bad Press (made me lose GTR twice)
Smelling Salts
It Wasn't Me (on 105 SPP Lineman with Block Guard Dodge Tackle Sidestep)
Buzzing
A very difficult match with those handicaps and 2 players MNG, effectively leaving the Blood Falcons with 12 players for the match, and 3 of them really suck!
The Falcons had to play hard for both their TDs, once requiring a Long Bomb. The Divine also had to play hard to score. A bit of weak defence on the Falcons last turn made it a bit easier for the Divine to score their match tying TD (I had players left to move that could have guarded a few more players, but I did other stuff first and ended my turn early).
The Divine did kill the ref in both halves, but only did 1 foul, perhaps due to the Blood Falcons having two DPs on the field ready to strike back and with interest.
------------
A very tactical game, with both coaches using their Diving Tackle players to apply the pressure. Sidestep (and his Guard everywhere) was a big factor as well. I had a -2D blitz on his ball carrier late in the second half, but chose not to take it, instead choosing to mark players. Maybe if I had done my last turn differently, it might have been different.
Still a very fair result against a very good coach.
We got our recovery and skilled a 4 and 12 SPP Lineman so we are stoked with the outcome.”
