“The Short Fuses played a man down (pun intended) for this match, lining up 11 for the opening kickoff. After knocking the stuffing out of the Good Wood front 3 they went for a foul attempt but their man was sent off in exchange for a measly stun--two men down.

That was quickly remedied by a viscious hit and Helga was carted off and the Good Wood apothecary was . . Nowhere to be found. The Short Fuses had pulled a Micky Finn!

The remainder of the game had nothing but bad breaks for the short fellas--they struggled with ball handling and much more importantly the Elves took the brunt of some heavy hitting with nothing worse than a few Knockouts.

At the end of the game, The Short Fuses looked like they were threatening to score but after knocking the ball lose, Lola pulled the old "ball-under-the-shirt-trick" and the dwarfs were unable to find it in the closing seconds of the match.

gg Deeze (this match was plagued by some major technical difficulties, not sure if it was my ISP or what, but we lost conn every 5 minutes or so--took a solid few hours to play and culminated in a lost-ball bug at the end of the game).
