“A tough game played in the rain. The Audition started in Offence, but set up with a defensive set! Meanwhile, the ProElfsionals set their kicker out on the wings and tried a deep kick in the corner which resulted in a touchback....

Not a great start by either team. the Audition gave the ball to their Str5 Blitzer, but the ProElfsionals used a couple of 3+ dodges to set up a 2 dice Blitz on him, and a RR bought the pow after the first two dice came up with junk.

The ProElfsionals then used a chain push to send the Str5 guy out of bounds (Stunned) and sent another OOB (BH) as they controlled the ball and eventually scored late in the drive.

In the second half, an amazing series of luck saw the ProElfsionals lose the ball to a one dice pow, that sent the ball out of bounds and upfields for the Black Audition. A Thrower made his GFI to pick up the ball in the rain, and threw the long pass to a Catcher who scored a TD.

The ProElfsionals scored another TD after some defensive pressure from the Audition (just a 2+ dodge and 2+ GFI in the end) and it looked like it was a victory for the Elves there and then as there was only one turn left.

As luck would have it, Injury Time occured giveing the Audition two turns to scored.

The Profesionals used a 3 dice blitz to down (stun) a Catcher, then set up a wall of Elves in front of the only other player in range, the Str5 Blitzer.

Despite the rain, the Audition were able to throw the ball to him (4+ catch) and he made a 4+ 3+ dodge to get past the wall (I should have staggered it, but was too sleep deprived to realise) but failed his GFI to score and the ProElfsionals escaped with the victory!

A fun game. I made a couple of silly mistakes I should have made if I weren't so tired. Eg, I did a 1 dice block (no damage) with the player I was going to run downfields with after the player next to him who was supposed to block instead did his 2 dice block.... so my player was stuck instead of moving downfields to pickup the ball.

I also did that silly kick first up... I need to change my saved defensive setup now I have a kicker lol.

Oh well, some dosh, no cas, and 3 skillups, including +AG on a Thrower plus a game against a fun chap, so all in all a great outcome :)”
