“The Blitz were outmatched from the onset, with the Messiahs having a full squad AND employing a star player, Zug. The outcome was never in dobt, as the 11 Dallas players were quickly whittled to 10 with a fan killing a lineman, then another Blitz player fell to a well placed block by none other than Zug. Too few skill players for the Blitz ended up being the clincher for the Messiahs.”
The defending champions came out on the pitch to a standing ovation. Could they hold their nerves? Well, the start of the match was a wicked affair, with both teams throwing some bad blocks, specially the Messiahs. Their nerves weren't quite at the right place at the beginning of the match, handing two enormous chances for the Blitzers to score.
Twice did they only need an "easy" action (+2 with PASS and then +2 with CATCH) but didn't manage to bring the score to 0-1. In the end, due also to the fans who killed a Blitzer with a rock, they were too strong and they won pretty easily.”
