A grind-it-out slugfest in the trenches, featuring 139 blocks thrown between the two teams. This bout was to answer the question: How to you skill up dwarfs?

In the Red Corner (at least on my client): All Guard (with a couple lucky +ST). Every Hammer player who could has taken Guard as his first normal skill roll.

In the Blue Corner (same caveat): Mixed Guard/MB. The Merry Gathering gave MB first to their troll slayers, and to one longbeard, but a few 'beards have Guard also.

The results were inconclusive statistically, as nuffle's slightest whim could have sent this one the other way (and maybe me winning was the "other way" based on the luck). I personally was glad to have chosen the Guardier side, for what it's worth.

No lasting damage either way, and the lads went out for a pint (or six) afterwards. GG Maniehl!
