“Joseff opened the Brymstone changing hall door (hall to accommodate Brymstone, the 2nd incarnation but there's only one Brymstone), expecting a buzz, after they got back to winning ways.
He stopped in the doorway to observe the room. You could feel the flatness, the lack of energy, they were playing some graveyard types and wondered if it was catching.
"C'mon", he bellowed.
"We're back on winning ways lets feel it. We've got 2 new recruits, Manfred here, who brings some much needed pace and I'm glad to see the Reak family are back in town with Q'ral. Oh yes, sorry for your loss."
They quietly geared up even Brymstone was quiet not even one ear-shattering laugh crossed his lips.
"Get it together lads I'm going to check on the crowd".
The crowd was there and in numbers but even as he walked through the gradually filling stadium he felt nothing but flatness. He started to wonder if the necromancer had cast a melancholy spell over the stadium before they arrived.
"Or is this what playing those of the graveyard is like?"
A grinding affair. Too many 1, 2s (remember these aren't elves) and dbl skulls. The first half was just so flat. Although Brymstone got their hands on the spillt ball twice they just couldn't dodge. They score relatively easily in the 2nd, stalled slightly to minimise the chances of an undead winner and fell flat on their faces in t7 with some more poor dice. It finally fell to Viktorr to secure the draw with an unecessary dodge.
Full squad left at the end of the day so it could have been a hell of a sight worse but as for winning this a grinding draw was a result.
Rematch please Viktorr :)
