“Well the wooden heroes were a little bit scared o going up against them hard CD´s, and so they started out a bit intimidated. But as the game went along they started to relax.
a very secure levian wond up for the last pass of the the day, which would secure a draw. Some say the sun got in his eyes, if he himself is asked, he insists that a hobgoblinn blinded him with a mirror.
My boys so rarely gets a match against anything but Chaos, Khemri, other Chaos Dwarves and the occational Undead team, that they promised to behave.
Superior team-training (5-6 vs 1 team reroll) won them the day, but the match was surprisingly bloodless. They had heard so much about tree-whacking, that they decided to bring the tree down. Half my team spend ungodly amounts of time doing so, but either it wouldn't go down or the Troll started to think about his life. When it got down, it just as surely got up again. Yet my boys had to try ;)
The Troll, however, decided that it was such a nice sunny day to pluck flowers. Since he couldn't find any flowers on the pitch, he tried to figure out how he could pick flowers that wasn't there...
The game was focused on the ball, protecting and getting it, and 1st half we were at 1-0. The Elves scored quickly, when a Hobbo failed a GFI, despite me yelling at him. The rest of the half was a slow 5 turn drive towards the endzone, but it was an exiting fight for the ball. I'm not used to fighting Elves, and I sure learned something about Woodies today. Killed his thrower in the 7th down, but fortunately the apo saved him for an exiting woodie 8th down. It all came down to whether their Thrower (couldn't blitzt him due to Munkager's efforts) could long pass it to a catcher, who was being manhandled by the dwarves.
The day was very sunny though, and the Thrower must have gotten the sun in his eyes, since he fumbled the ball ending the match 2-1.
Thanks for the game Munkager, it sure was a refreshing change playing your woodies, and I'll rematch you anytime! ”
