It was a close call. But for a last minute stack as one of the Nightmares linemen attempted to dash into the endzone (resulting in a major double whammy as said lineman also met with a KO) it would have ended with yet another colossal failure for the Dorfs. It could be said that such a stack was simply a realigning of karma following a very beneficial Blitz that led to the Nightmare's close score. Yet that systematically forgets that the Dorfs also had a Blitz (that they failed to make the most of), that the Nightmares failed to put any of the thick-skulled numb-nuts on the injury table (only a helpful stone thrown from the crowd managed that) and that the Norse were on the end of some rather brutal punishment. With only six players left in overtime, which was quickly reduced to two, it was only then that the Dorfs looked like managing a victory and a route to round two of the Tour.

A fun, sporting game that easily could have gone either way, which I managed to luck out on. Well played alonut - I look forward to a future encounter! ”
