“Challenge: From opponent

Well, this was just an awful game in my most humble of opinions. Edgy is a very slow coach with most turns taking the full 4 mins and several turns going into 5 or 6 mins. No chat, turn 16 foul for no reason when the game was completely decided (so I gave him one back) - I asked "why the foul?" and the response, "sorry" is as pointless as the foul was.

Aside from turn 1 where 7/8th of everything was good, the 1st half was a complete write off. I failed more blocks with double skulls than the lizards did without block skill all game, and I'd lost interest because their turns were taking so long, so can honestly say I don't really know what happened in turn 2-5 of the 2nd half because I was reading a book. The apo had already been used to save a trip from a gfi and subsequent death by, ironically, Lobbun Chasem, who was killed by a 1 dice block by skinks later anyway. The block dice were about as one sided as you can imagine, with plenty of pows and pushbacks and no double skulls till sometime in the 2nd half. I think I had another good turn of blocking with a few -2 dice blocks just for a laugh cause I was bored. Can't remember when though.

It's weird/ironic/funny (well, to me) that I opened the book up to the page I'm on (page 5 of Robin Hobbs 'fools fate') and the words are "That the minutes dragged on were not his fault."

Honestly, I'm not kidding, or lying, that's what it said! Well the series is about an illegitimate son of a prince in a medieval style land who is taken in by his royal relatives for reasons I missed :S Might have to go back and read it seeing as I'm on the last book (6 of 6) and still don't know who his mother is. Anyway, he's trained as an assassin and also inherits both mind powers and a form of animal empathy known as 'the wit' for which people are persecuted. In truth, the books are around 100 pages too long each, but it's a good story and I'm sticking with it just to see what happens.

Oh.. wait... where am I?

Oh yeah, the Kroxi bone headed once all game, and I think there was a couple of turns somewhere in the 2nd half where blocks must have failed because turns took less than 5 minutes. I used that time to fail another ball pickup but catch the bounce, handoff and run for end zone. Took another dodge to score but I'd finished caring by then so clicked as fast as I could just to end the turns and get back to the book.

So to summarise.

Slow playing coach. Check.
One sided dice. Check.
No chat at all. Check. (language barrier?)
Pointless turn 16 foul and then pointless "sorry" afterwards. Check.

Just about sums it up.

"Anticipation warred with reluctance as I awaited my first private meeting with Swift, Burrich's son" Those are the next lines on page 5 of the book. Best find out what happens in the meeting then, bound to be more interesting than this rubbish :D”
