“Challenge from: Me (My orcs missing a BOB, Undead missing a ghoul)
This was a really tight game... no wait. This was a really REALLY tight game, and should have been at the very least 1-1. Nitrowarlord had a bona fide uncontested equalising touchdown in his grasp... until some undead numbskull failed a block and ended turn. I had a (slim) chance of making it 2-0 (read... no chance whatsoever) with a long bomb in turn 16 but passing was a non-event all game with both attempted passes coming up short. The dilemma for the newly skilled thrower is whether to take block or accurate. Not sure on point of accurate as the rest of the team watches as the ball bounces ineffectually from the side of their head when they should be trying to catch it...
Both teams had luck - mine in the 1st half, then it dissolved completely until turn 5 of the 2nd, with undead blocking finally coming to life and leaving me with 7 players on the field. Thankfully the Troll regenerated, unthankfully the apo failed, albeit on a badly hurt but I was getting pretty frikkin thin in the middle and needed some muscle.
As it was, nuffle intervened, and gifted me an undeserved win - and I mean that. The undead and their coach were good enough value for at least a draw given the whupping they got from the dice for a lot of the game. I didn't have it all my own way by any means but the failure of the Undead block dice really went in my favour at a key game changing moment and decided the end result.
Hard luck Nitro - you know what you should have done when you had the chance to score, so I won't bleat on about it. Sorry about the failed regen on the mummy - I like undead teams, damned if I can make them work though - so I like to see them survive, unlike Khemri, which can roast in hell (well glue has to come from somewhere right?) as far as I am concerned :D
Thx for the game, rematch anytime - hope you get your connection/lag sorted. Was like watching a game in slow motion at times :P
Try an older version of the java client if you have a new, up to date version?
Cheers,
