Our lizardmen face PTGMach's ogres in a block-less, tackle-less matchup. Both teams are a little depleted, with a MNG saurus and skink on our side meaning we have just 9 players, and 2 MNG ogres meaning they have just 10. Both their nigglers show up while we get extra training + bribe the ref as handicaps.

We receive and our fans start in style with a pitch invasion that stuns two of their ogres on the LOS while ignoring every other player on the pitch! We knock over remaining two ogres and put in a gang foul that ... fails to break armour. We use our bribe the ref the following turn to put the boot in again.. and again fail to break armour.. take off those slippers!!

It's turn 3 and we've failed 3 turns in a row (with 2 rerolls burnt) trying to pick up the ball with a rookie saurus, whoops! Finally we clear away their ogre + two gobbos near the ball and grab it with a skink who scampers upfield. They free up an ogre to blitz him, and even use a reroll to get 6 dice but can only push him back! He dodges on and this time they are forced to dodge two gobbos back for a blitz, finding the POW they needed at last. An ogre also badly hurts one of our saurus... not something we can afford with so few players! Fortunately we're able to MNG a gobbo with a saurus using the 'both-down' approach the following turn.

The ball is loose near their endzone but they have several gobbos beside it vs our skink + saurus. Fortunately they are out of rerolls and their ogre blitz boneheads at the perfect time for us. They dodge a goblin through ... tripping as he reaches the ball and bounces it perfectly into our skink's hands, who can easily run in the TD the following turn!

They have two turns, and despite us being able to hamper the ball carrier are able to make a turn 8 run-handoff-throwngobbo with a perfect landing to make it 1-1 at half time!

Our 8 set up vs 9 as we kick for the 2nd half, rolling our 2nd blitz in a row! And once again we use only moves as there is no useful blitz option. We run players in under where the ball is going to land, but can't make the catch. A bit of a brawl breaks out until they manage to secure the ball on turn 3. They are trying to cage but bonehead rears it's ugly head and we're able to 2d blitz with a pair of skinks, POW'ing over their gobbo with the ball. We follow this up with a MNG on their SS/DT gobbo to even up the numbers. On their turn their first block with an ogre vs a saurus rolls up double both-down, rerolled to double skulls! This means we have a clear run at the ball, which we duly steal with a speedy skink. They try and break backwards with an ogre, but he slips up on a GFI, meaning the game is ours - and we run in the winning TD on the final turn!
