“A quiet game for the Blackfang but not for the gutter runners!!! A sad day for the Skavengers though as the team captain will be taking early retirement once he is replaced, although he has handed captaincy of the team to the irrepressible Swiz Blackfang and will be taking a coaching role behind the scenes.

First block of the game produces a BH rat for the Darkies, two more blocks down the line and a rat is put in the KO box, the skaven coach was at this point seen with his head in his hands and was probably thinking "here we go, another one of "those" games!" then, a dark elf was KO'd in the very same block!!! A smirk appeared on the skaven coaches face!! a quick blitz put the skaven in the darky half,not a great move for Quirk Venomclaw who was ganged up on and fouled ending up in a niggle!! The dark elf thrower managed to get the ball and make a pass to a waiting lineman. The skaven saw the ball was well guarded so picked a couple of opportnist blocks and regrouped in thier own half. The elves looked to have a strong attacking position down the left of the field with the ball carrier well protected, then..........it happened!! A badly timed gfi fail and the skavens were in, blitzing the ball carrier into the stands for the crowd to deal with, who then threw the ball back into a great position for the rats!! Zelen scurried to the ball and made a pass to Qween who made his way deep into the elven side of the field, the dark elf thrower failed a gfi in a blitz attempt and the first scorer was a skaven!!!! After that, everything fell apart for the Dark elves, a failed block on the LoS and the rats were in again, they positioned themselves to prevent a passing play so the elves attempted to take out a gutter runner, it didnt work, the darky ball carrier was left relatively unprotected and got blitzed again, the bounce was lucky and in went Zelen for another TD!!

Then, T7 and the dark elves recieved again, the skaven got a blitz that ended with 2 gutter runners in the oppositions half, a failed dodge by a dark elf lineman gave the rats another opportunity to score, which they gladly accepted!!!!
3-0 up at the end of the first half for the rats and it was just too much to ask of the dark elves to come back, they did manage to do the disgraceful thing and score, but only after the rats had scored again to make it 4 TD's.

Words of the newly promoted Skryre Skavengers captain:

"They sssshhhhhouldn't have fouled Quirk, we didn't like like, dark elves angered ussssss, then we wanted revenge, we show them what fast fast isssss"

This was a really unlucky game for Funny and I just happened to be the one who was there to take advantage!!! Not complaining though!! :-P
