“This evening presented a crunching game between the norse Silver Wolves and the khemri Skull teams.
The Silver Wolves received first and scored early in the 1st half via Cerbie Swiftfoot. The Skull team then proceeded to march towards the end zone after receiving, but the norse proved a tough opponent to break down, and the khemri failed to score, leaving the norse team 1-0 up, but a few players down.
The second half saw the Khemri put under a lot of pressure, like bees buzzing around an angry bear. Eventually a tackle saw the khemri ball carrier put down, and the ball scattered, only to be picked up a mummy! The rest of the half saw the mummy making progress down the field, and it came to a do or die time in the last turn of the game.
The mummy was left in one tackle zone, 4 squares away from the end zone. The mummy could not blitz or use any re-rolls, and would have to dodge out of a tackle zone, and then go for it to draw level. Both coaches and crowd waited in silence...
The mummy demonstrated extreme agility for an agility 1 player, successfully dodging out of the tackle zone, and then making a good go for it!... 1-1... the undead crowd went wild (or moaned louder!)...
However, there was more post match bad news for the norse coach. Apart from only having a maximum of 10 players for the next match, Dark Roo, the norse Ogre, picked up a niggling injury while he learnt leadership qualities in training.”
