“The crowd was in a raucous mood before the game even started and with both sets of fans getting hold of a ref it looked like things could be very messy right from the start. Within minutes of the kick off both Tevez and Rooney were out of the match and in the dugout. So it was left to Ronaldo to front the attack and score to make it 1-0 to Ratchester. Wycombes possesion was short lived as Ronaldo made a 1 on 1 blitz on Chris Zebroski with the thrall ending up in the stunned box and Giggs swooping in to pick up the ball and score shortly afterwards. 2-0. The rowdiness of the crowd continued as they spilled onto the field stunning afew of both teams players.
The 2nd half started off a little quieter than the first but the Wampires were soon under pressure as the pace of Giggs and Ronaldo forced mistakes by those protecting the ball carrier and Giggs was once again there to run in the ball. 3-0. With the result now out of their reach Wycombe turned their attention to inflicting pain on the United players. In quick succession Ferdinand, Vidic & Hargreaves were carried off the pitch. With the player numbers now in their favour the Wampires were able to stretch United's defence and David McCracken was able to get them a consolation goal. Had there been more time left on the clock the result may have been different. In the dying moments Jon-Paul Pittman had the chance to score a 2nd for the Wampires but he coulnt control the ball and it was left to Scholes to clear the ball and end the match.
Ratchester United march on unbeaten so far but there are some tough games ahead.”
“Well Wycombe did what they do best again in this match which is dish out punishment and cause some chaos.
However through all the beatings coach easilyamused could be heard screaming for someone to please try and pick up the ball and score. By the time the players realised what was being shouted at them it was already too late and they were 3-0 down.
A last minute blitz almost succeeded in making it 3-2 but that funny shaped thing that the coach is so interested felt a bit strange and the player refused point blank to carry it across the line.
All in all a good fun game and gl fo rest of the season boba.”
