The first half was pretty much dominated by Orc strength as they powered their way to a 1-0 half time lead leaving badly hurt and KO halflings in their wake. However in the 2nd half the Stirland Shorties really showed that despite their size a good coach can really make them in to winners. Led by 3 treemen they finally were able to cause some damage to the Orc amour
As the orc blindly threw themselves in to attack in the beginning of the 2nd half they left no one back for a well worked out throw team mate for the equaliser.
However with the ball in hand the orcs were still confident of the winner but then midway through the half came the move of the match. As James with the ball in hand was blocked out of touch and killed by the fans by a band of halflings. Which was then followed by BH from a foul on the blitzer, which the apoth failed to heal and from attack the English Boys were desperately defending against the winner. But with some luck and some surprisingly poor dodging from the halflings the game reminded tied at full time.
The Orcs kickoff at OT with 9 vs 11 disadvantage and the Stirland man use of their numbers to bring the ball toward the English Boys touchline. Is was exciting stuff as every inch the Stirland made they took injuries. But eventually when the ball was loose after a lucky blitz knocked out the ball carrier inches from goal. The loose ball was picked up by Stirland halfing for a well deserved win.
Congrats General Maurader for a great game, we had a couple of classics and you come out winning despite some injuries in both to give hope to all those underdog teams that play against big bashy one that some good coaching can still win.
Good luck for the rest of the tournament as i have become a supporter of the Stirling now.
