#12 Nr. 12 – Broken Ribs (MNG) #12 Nr. 12 – Smashed Knee (NI)
“Got a challenge from "da boyz", and after having played Elves, I decided that Orcs would be a nice second.
I should have guess what I had coming, when the only player on the 4-Black Orc starter team that wasn't placed on the field was the Thrower....
Jim claimed this to be an error, and I'm inclined to believe him when he said that his boyz just forgot that they had to go first....
A turn one KO'ed Golem, and turn two Serious injuries to two zombies (none regenerated, mind you) made it a difficult match for me. I played understrength during the entire first half, and a good part of the second. It forced me to rely heavily on my good players, and they didn't let me down. Uela in particular really shone, picking up difficult balls and dodging away again (Sure Hands was the right first pick). Arkash Flesheater was busy removing people from the pitch, and all the rest of the team had to do was to hold up the more homicidal players a little while :) First half ended with Jim's thrower failing a GFI and gaining a Niggle. Not that he used him anyways.
Second half went rather well. Even though the ball got kicked to the wrong part of the Field, Uela managed to throw it somewhere near Arkash. Gr'ash made a move, for which he probably gained the MVP, doding out for Arkash to manhandle one of his opponents, dodge out, pickup the ball and run for a TD.
Jim tried to mount a counterdefense, but I managed to stop it.
Oh, it was a bloody match but I would have thanked Jim for it and perhaps offering a rematch. However Jim decided to make the match's only foul during the 8th down of the second half. He even dared to say "sorry" just before fouling a Flesh Golem!
I can live with people being a******** and fouling in turn 16 but saying sorry for doing so is just pathetic. ”
