Handicaps for Ebenezer : Virus (Gah!, 2nd game in a row! - missing line fodder Ogre and claw beasty), and Get the Ref.
The game started with the dwarves winning the toss and receiving. Their 10 men managed to managed to successfully block, blitz and surf their way down field without many problems. By turn 7/8 when they scored there were 6 chaos players in the KO box... and annoyingly only 1 came back for the 1 remaining turn in the half... However the chaos team were almost at full strength again for the 2nd half, but they had used their apoth to prevent a niggle.
The dwarves who started with 10 men were already a KO short and had suffered a BH... and the 2nd half led to more flukey armour/injury rolls. After quickly equalising, the chaos side pressurised the 6 or 7 dwarves on the pitch. This eventually led to the ball being picked up and run home for their first win of the season!
In the end it was luck and numbers that won us this game. Ebenezer did little wrong, but must be glad to have 11 players back for next game!”
