The Guardians started in offence, and scored a quick TD (had no choice really with my wierd offensive drive). Not before the Gathering used up their apoth early with a snaked GFI RIP on their AG5 Blodger.

The Gathering then scored 2 TDs thanks in part to the Guardians snaking with the ball handling and the Gathering the ball back. Both snakes were before I blitzed Emphasy and I would have at least rerolled the double skulls and might have made the plays! One snake was when I was going to score (and instead he stole it) and then the second snake was after I stole the ball back!

A third time I stole the ball in the first half, and unfortunately went to do a pass with my AG5 Catcher instead of handing off to my Wardancer and passing with him, and I GFI the wrong way and rolled a 1 on my pass (after a 1 on one of the GFI).

Anyways, at half time we were down 0-1, but the Gathering had their Tree killed by the Guardians Tree and Emphasy was pissed and started fouling regardless of the eye heh.

It was Emphasy's turn for some bad rolls as he used a 1 on a dodge and then failed a short pass attempt (after GFI with no RR first to come in from a Long Pass) and the Guardians recovered the ball and got the equaliser.

It was 2-2 and the Gathering had a good drive, with a KO on a foul, and the Guaridans Tree rooted to be down 2 players.

The Guardians attempted to stop the score, but got a quad skulls and more players KOd or BH through fouls and blocks.

The Guardians were left with a OT TD atttempt to tie the scores and their AG5 MA10 Sprint Catcher did the job with a chain push to bring him one closer.

A crazy game, in the first half, there were a stack of 1s, with mine hurting the most on the scoreboard as I fell behind 1-2 after starting with the ball, whereas Emphasy's hurt his team as he lost his apoth on turn 1.

Second half, Emphasy had some of the bad luck on the ball handling allowing us to get back into the match.

On the next drive, there was nothing we could do to stop the score as Emphasy powered through my team despite only having 2 Tacklers. A Quick Snap did help though as it gave a free hit on my Str4 Blodge wingman who got powed.

Really need more sidestep on the wings *sniff*.

Anyway, Emphasy played well as usual and it was a fun game apart from the deah of his Treeman.”
