“Don´t remember having seen (leave alone having played) a game nuffled like this one. However, this time the bad dice were shared equally which made the game entertaining for the both of us.
First half started with the Mandriden in offense. Soon it became clear that being a skink meant having a hard time. After turn 6 there was none one of the guys left (though none suffered perms luckily). The norse on the other hand obviously did not bother about the beatings they got. Only one KO seemed to make it a rather one-sided match. But nuffle decided otherwise, making them fail 3-4 "safe" blocks which is why they in the end did not manage to score.
The second half gave the Scramblers an excellent start. They managed to pick up the ball right away and to carry it deep into the opponents half, slightly supported by the offensive gameplay of the Mandriden who left their backfield wide open. But nuffle stroke again. A nicely done blitz injured the last skink who dropped the ball into the crowd. They were in high spirits today and threw the ball directly into the arms of a norse lineman. Unbelievably he even managed to pick it out of the air, only to be crushed flat by a saurus the following turn. Fair enought this very Saurus managed to pick up the scattered ball but couldn´t manage to carry it home. The Mandriden managed once more to gain possession, but couldn´t connect a desperate pass which would´ve opened them a last chance to win the game.
Once again: a weird game with many fails and several almost impossible actions and a result both coaches can live with. Thanks wastl80, rematch anytime! :)”
