A tight game against a really good coach, the Dwarves' Tackle proved too much for the poor little Gobbos (that they lost one of their Trolls on each of two drives didn't help much either....) and little green bodies were flying off the pitch left and right, fortunately none hurt too badly except the freebooter who was hired for the match whose broken leg and niggling injury likely ended his career.

The entire game was played in a driving blizzard which kept both teams conservative in their movement for most of the game. Flames' player Marghub Abd-al-Fattah almost sent the game into overtime, however, when, attempting to get over the goal-line before the Slaves' wizard could roast him, he tripped and fell on his second GFI, while trying to score the winning touchdown. Luckily for the Dark Flames, Bull Centaur Sa'adah Muhyi-al-Din managed to stun the Goblin with the ball, Grubsnack, without it bouncing out into the crowd and the Flames' Hobgoblin Naqash scooped the ball up and ran in the winning TD.
