“Handicaps Against Me: Iron Man (Given to a Troll Slayer, which saved him.)

Black Beard Dwarves won the coin toss and chose to receive against ten players from the Paragon of Malevolence. The Dark Elves tried to put pressure on the Dwarven backfield but the Dwarves made them pay for it by outright killing the Witch Elf, Lazarus. There were too few PoM players to break the Dwarven cage and so the Dwarves stayed a few paces from the end zone to run down the clock. Just before the time ran out, Linken, made a great play by dodging into the cage and knocking the ball carrier down. It caused a fumble and Draeke was able to pick up the ball in two tackle zones with one turn left in the half. Suddenly it looked like the Dark Elves were going to be able to pull out the stop. Unfortunately, the Dwarven Runner, Hayreddin Barbarossa, was clutch and picked the ball up in a tackle zone, dodge away and went for it for the score before the half.

PoM received in the second half and they were down to seven players. The Dwarves started closing in on the Dark Elves and two were off the field on their first turn. Five players left but Elric was still in play. The Blitzer dodged away and got open for a pass. Darwin found the streaking Dark Elf and threw a long pass which was accurate but not caught. Dwarves rushed to the ball and a Blitzer tried to pick it up. The ball took a very favorable bounce towards the Dwarven end zone. Elric quickly made up for his mistake and dodged away, picked up the ball in a tackle zone and dodged once again to get out of range. He was able to burn a couple turns off the clock and score on their 7th turn before kicking off to the Dwarves.

BB received and sent multiple receivers out to spread the field. A Runner was knocked out by Nagash and that left another Runner and a Blitzer to cover with only three Dark Elves. They covered them as best they could and a Troll Slayer blitzed to free up the Runner. The Troll Slayer failed and ended up getting taken down instead ending the game. PoM escape with a very gutsy draw game.
