“The orcs are up against ogres for the 2nd time running... lets break some bones!
We kick and the manage a couple of early KOs as they move the ball forward, but we're able to thin their numbers when one of our blitzers KILLS a rookie gobbo on turn 3 (they elect not to waste their apo). That's them down to 10 for the game!
They continue smacking us around, niggling a black orc (saved by apo), KO'ing two more players, and getting the ball safely through to our endzone. They stall out the remaining turns, managing to get a gobbo sent off fouling with the eye on them. On our side of things we try and hurt the goblins but can only manage to MNG a blitzer on a GFI. They score on turn 8 and we use up their apo saving a niggling vs an ogre before the half time whistle.
Just 2/4 KOs wake up with two attempts so we have just 10 vs 9. They get a perfect defence that messes up our first turns, and meanwhile we are having a terrible time trying to pick up the ball at the back. They charge goblins through and when we fail to remove them they have a chance at a sneaky touchdown. Their agi4 gobbo dodges through to the endzone, while another gobbo dodges past, stealing the ball, and goes for the quick pass... but fumbles! We summarily eject the +AGI into the stands (badly hurt) and finally pick up the ball. Time is running out though and we are sorely pressed to get it to their half- in the end a blitzer managing a dodge vs a diving tackle gobbo (5+) is what does it for us and we manage to make it evens on our last turn.
This leaves the ogres one last chance at victory, and they start well - getting the ball to the waiting goblin, throw him downfield... where he lands on his face for a -AV serious injury!!
