“For the 4th match in a row we've been scheduled against ogres, my least favourite race to play against. :/

We have nobbla along for the ride and get 2 handicaps (smelling salts and palmed coin), while they have just 10 players though 8 are ogres which makes things a bit difficult.

It takes two turns and two rerolls but finally the chainsaw starts. We blitz a goblin with it and can't even break armour! On the following turn their block/tackle ogres blitzes Nobbla back, KO'ing him. What a waste of our money!

We run the ball up one sideline but the ogres are able to briefly take it down. A great turn by us lets us knock over almost all the nearby ogres and then throw a goblin out of the pitch (badly hurt). When they then try a break-tackle blitz double ones hands us back the turn! We take advantage and get the ball within striking distance of the endzone, running in the touchdown on our last turn.

Nobbla hasn't been sent off (as we argued he didn't actually HURT anyone) and luckily we have just enough players to keep him on the bench til the 2nd half.

Smelling salts ensure both are KOs return while their sleepy ogre doesn't wake up despite two rolls, so it's 11 vs 8. We set up Nobbla but on turn 1 the ogres take advantage of a touchback to throw their sole goblin downfield for a 1-turn touchdown!

Luckily the ref lets Nobbla stay on (as he didn't actually START the chainsaw), while their ogre remains in the KO box. They roll up a blitz and try and toss their goblin downfield after the deep kick... but fumble him for a KO!

With just 7 ogres vs our full complement it's difficult for the ogres to make any headway. And with Nobbla finally on form (several stuns and then a badly hurt ogre), plus the ogres soon out of rerolls, we swarm all over them. Nobbla is never removed and keeps fighting till the end, performing a T7 gang foul (with 7 assists!) that can only stun a block-ogre. We run in the winning touchdown on the final turn of the game without trouble.
