The Knights started in offence, and were very cautious with their cage, only sending a couple of potential scorers downfield.
The School tagged them, making an easy score difficult, and eventually, the Light used up all their RR and lost the ball!
The School coach was sleep deprived and did a one dice blitz instead of a 2 dicer, sending a Light player onto the ball and it scattered perfectly (a couple of squares around the back) allowing the School to scoop it up and cage it deep in defence with 2 turns left in the half.
The Light were unlucky with their defence attempt allowing the School to advance the ball deep (2 GFI to score), but they almost didn't when they were greedy for T8 blocks and got a double skulls after the first or second hit and had to score the TD with 2 GFI witn no RR.
We pulled off the score, but it was very lucky.
Second half saw the School start in offence with the ball and a Blitz! made things awkward for them, but they were able to milk a pass for a skill and advance the ball downfield with a running screen of defenders.
The Light applied the pressure, making it awkward for the School to score, but they took a risk with no RR and passed to skill up 2 players instead of a safe score with 1 to get a 2-0 lead.
The Light then played solid offence in the final 4? turns to get themselves a good TD that also skilled up a player.
---------------
It was a very fun game against Rafe. Game took quite a while cos of all our chatting, but it was very enjoyable. I skilled up 4 players and he skilled up 3 so we were both happy with that.
Look forward to a rematch sometime.”
