I was worried about my chances facing a team full of block (none of my guys had block). Fortunately, it didn't seem to matter as my bloodthirsty crew had no trouble putting the vikings on their little viking butts.

Sadly, their ball-playing skills were rather more lack-lustre. The first half was all going my way, when a fumbled pass gave the Norse boys the ball. It was politely taken back at the end of a fist, but at every critical moment skulls popped up. The TD was not scored, and to make matters worse, the Migthy Thor then scored a breakaway.

Again, the second half belonged to me. Early pressure on the ball prevented the opposition drive starting, and the 10 vs 8 line-up was soon reduced to 10 vs 5. My stupid beastmen were still unable to pick the ball up properly though, so too much time was wasted on turnovers. The TD was inevitable (although it annoyingly went to my niggler - I couldn't risk dropping it on a pass with no RRs), but there was no chance to score a second for the win. Just one more turn would have done it...”
