"The town guard were on full alert, the flagellants are screaming their tolerated ranting against the seeds of Chaos but apart from a few drunken brawls the run up to the match against the Hooliga has been relatively quiet.", Captain Alguss, of the Brymstone Home Guard, reported.

"Very good. Thank you captain. Good job. Here's your improved rates for a job well done", Joseff pressed the weighty bag of silver into the captain's hand, to be divied with the rest of the Guard. Alguss' eyes evidently bulged, not expecting this much but he was the best and Joseff needed him and his men to be.

As Alguss left the room he nudged past a previously unobserved Boris the Blade, leaning nonchelantly against the door-frame, with a big grin across his face.

"We we are looking prosperous Joe, aren't we"

Joseff left the 'Joe' slide, they, as the rest of the team, were very close.

"Not bad at all", he returned.

"But what is this all in aid of? The military build-up here, our own guard, our prosperity which is outstripping the rest of the Empire hands down. Have you seen the legion of craftmen working on the first of the stone walls? They are such a distance away from the, currently, built up area it can only mean grand plans."

"You always are the most observant one Boris, that's why we get on so well. I've got a few ideas but I don't get told enough."

"By whom?"

"I've never met him. I just receive a coded message every month and there you go. They haven't put a foot wrong yet or put us in jeopardy so 'they' seem to have invested as much in this as we have. Are the men ready?"

"Itching for a kicking"

Boos rang throughout the Brymstone Stadium, the referee looked around worriedly. Jacque Legend was not worried the boos were all directed at the Hooliga. Brymstone had taken things in hand, literally, smashing Lollo, who would definitely take a while to recover from this. Not as much as Pfiu, who Tyrell Mast killed with a trully vicious knee to the face, the extra damage inflicted by spike on his knee pad seemed to be excessive, considering the damage already done.

The Hooliga left the field battered and broken before the 2nd half, while the Brymstone fans roared as Brymstone and Tyrell took the applause.

"Not bad, not bad", Manfred Joxxa remarked to Lasha, although with ball in hand and the end zone so close he couldn't hide his disappointment.

"It'll be lively tonight though. The seeds of chaos within our town, drunk, on top of a humiliated concession.", Lasha returned.

"The crazy flags will be out though. Send a maniac to fight a maniac."

"And the Home Guard to end them if they get out of hand?"

"Aye"
