“Armor held up all day for both sides. No player on either side got credit for a single casualty.
Fortunately today was Tuft of Beard Day at the stadium. The first 15,000 fans to arrive at the stadium were entitled to a free tuft of dwarf beard. The catch? Stadium officials never intended to buy any...fans would be expected to collect it themselves, and BOY are those beards hard to pull of a struggling dwarf!
---------------------------------
Much of the second half was fought on the sidelines, as black orcs and troll slayers jostled for the superior position from which to push out the most opponents. Daboo Zug Zug's advantage in ST and Guard won out in the end over frenzy and dauntless, with numerous chain pushes (including one that caused a niggling injury) setting up superior surfing positions. With the dwarfs depleted, we proceeded to make a pass to a black orc for spp-sharing (See pg 79 of the Employee Handbook, under "Skill Up Benefits").
Props to Sergrum for playing an excellent first half before getting steamrolled a bit in the second. Fortunately for him, only a rookie 'beard was permanently injured. Sucks that he took 2 SI and finished with his apo unused though. (hey, if I were a dwarven apo, I wouldn't go into the stands on any day, let alone Tuft of Beard Day)”
