“We. Got. Hosed.

It has been a while since I took a Nuffling like this one. Luckily it was against BillBrasky and not some undeserving n00b!

This particular Nuffling had the normal endless clean POW's on my Blodgers, and snakeye dodges for BH's that many do, as well as the obligatory random niggle, apoth fails. Heck...there was only one KO all match. Mostly just the casualty box filling up from all sides. Blocks, fouls, crowdpushes, failed dodges...they all added to the pile.

Before his untimely demise (also a well Nuffled play that I'll get into later), Greased Weasel almost managed to score, stripping the ball right in to the crowd at -2 dice, and a favorable throw in followed by some more craziness (after my Blodger ball carrier again got POWed) that nearly got a Long Bomb off to Thumper, waiting alone down field...but it was intercepted by Thagul allowing the lizards to score turn 8.

BillBrasky thought I might manage a pushy OTS on my own turn 8 to equalize, despite only 7 players and a lone gutter runner, but sitting at 34% luck, I knew better. Sure enough, the fans had a better idea, throwing a rock to stun Greased Weasel. Flinch did manage to kill a saurus in a LOS gangfoul, but was ejected in the process, proving I can indeed roll a 6 from time to time! (he may have been intentionally blatant and looking for ejection, given the odds at that point)

Next half, my 6 remaining rats receive. No longer any thoughts of victory, but maybe just get a completion for my 5 SPP linerat, and salvage something from the match that already cost me one gutter runner...first, just have to move Greased Weasel off the LOS to receive the ball with AG 4 (since Perfect Defense left him in a bad spot) Dodge..1 RR 1...for stun. He would never stand up again, getting fouled to death the following turn.

Down to like 3 rats and 0-2, its not that I gave up, but Nuffle took care of it for me. Try to blitz the ball carrier...Dodge: 1.

0-3. Next kickoff, try to dodge off the LOS with my last AG 4 linerat...1.

I kept trying to stand up and blitz just somebody, but obviously to no effect.

When you get Nuffled like that, the worst part is that towards the end there are always a few actions that you roll 6 on, so that luck you had at 34% all match suddenly shows much higher on the match report. Of course, this time that didn't even happen much, and I've still got only 40%. However, some failed gratuitous SPP farming passes that BillBrasky made failed, lowering his luck score considerably, making it look like my retarded-arse took 7 casualties vs only 54% luck...(of course, one was dodging and one was from the crowd, so it really was 9 casualties for the match...)

Nuffle then completed his Nuffling by rolling me a 1 for winnings, putting me just short of replacing one of the two lost gutter runners.
