A tough game for us. We were down 32 TS and handicaps were knuckledusters and palmed coin. Neither very good.
The fouls by Malthor were the real story. He fouled 3 times in the first 4 turns. Was not sent off on first foul, but was sent off on the 2 when eye was on him. However, the real story is the impressive fouls. With no DP - his 3 fouls resulted in: CAS, CAS, KO on ST 4 knuckledusters who failed all 3 wake up rolls. Essentially he traded 2 unskilled players to get 3 CAS. Incredible dice considering he had no dirty player. It was the right move of course - he had depth on the bench and used it. Just much more effective than it normally would be.
We scored after stalling a few turns. Then after a snakes by Malthor left the ball unprotected we stole it and needed a single dodge for the 2-0 lead but failed.
Frankly being down 32 TS to start with - and Malthor trading bench players to get 2 CAS and perm KO right at the beginning should have sealed the game. Only the good dice at the end gifted me the win.
Good game - although the constant whining about the POWs was getting annoying - especially considering the good fortunate with your fouling.”
Outlucked big time... failed everything important, suffered a Perfect Defence and snaked a GFI to set up a cage so lost the ball.
Three fouls by me = send off three times (6, 4+ and 6).
T16, snaked dodge to go to overtime vs 5 players on the pitch with 4 KO... typical dice farce today.
Opponent played very well to get a crowd surf, but he had the dice on a string as he made a stack of POWs and made every roll he needed except one dodge to go to a 2-0 lead after I was screwed and lost the ball on T6 (with the Perfect Defence and snakes).
Not saying I deserved to win, but I was screwed by the dice over and over today and the game was decided mainly by the one sided rolls.”
