“Our orcs face LKarachi's high elves. They are a well-skilled bunch with every lineman sporting at least one skill but luckily there's not a single blodger (we have no tackle). They get one handicap, giving our MB blitzer bonehead for the game.

We kick in the rain, which miraculously clears up while the ball is in the air! They bash over our sacrificial lineorcs (and new troll) and then gang foul a line orc for a KO with their DP. We counter with a MNG on a guard lineelf (there's several) with our first blitz by the boneheaded MB blitzer- a good trade!

And our injury dice continue to be blessed when a black orc badly hurts another guard lineelf on turn 2! Meanwhile they have almost set up a touchdown, needing only to pass to their waiting catcher... but without reroll backup manage to mess up the 3+ pass! We steal the ball with our AGI 4 blitzer and then run it upfield with most of their players tied up in our half. Both sides see some poor dice, but it's mostly the elves who suffer as they have used up all their rerolls and we manage to score on turn 6 (unable to stall due to elf pressure).

They come close to scoring in the two turns they have, ultimately dropping a catch (with free reroll) in a single tackle zone that would have clinched it. They have however managed to badly hurt our +AGI blitzer, which will be a big help to them. Our DP (KO'd before he got to foul) sleeps on and will miss the 2nd half, though our troll has gotten his first SPPs with a niggle that used up their apo.

They kick, but the weather turns very sunny- causing their kicker to totally miskick and give us a touchback (to our sidesteppin black orc). We KO their DP on turn 1 and start ambling the ball forwards. They are trying their best to get at him, but we've got quite a lot of guard and STR4s in the way, while they are running out of elves on the field. Eventually, just as he gets in range of the endzone (with the cage down to just a single guard blitzer) they manage a 1d blitz that knocks him over! Luckily his partner catches the ball and then withstands a 2d blitz (rerolled) the following turn that can only push him back! This lets us clear space and run him to beside the endzone with a veritable wall of orcs between the elves and the ball. Their coach declares 'time for heroic actions' and goes for a long series of dodges (almost all into 1 or 2 tackle zones) that eventually let them get a 1d blitz on the ball... but even rerolled can't knock him over! We score on turn 6 to make it 2-0, securing the game.

Their last two turns they do extremely well against a perfect defence with no rerolls, managing to get a catcher through and then clearing space to get the ball up beside him... but fail the pass. Story of their day today!
