“An entertaining match up, as sirdave79 and majorstoner meet up again for some blood and glory.

The Slayers received the kickoff to get the game underway, and the front line ground forward in the way that is becoming very familiar with the fans. Gnarg scores an early casualty, one of the party crews zombies was left literally in bits. Vinak cooly collected the ball and braught it in close to his big men (orcs). King Tut and Prince Rodan did some sterling work on the line of scrimmage, in an unusual and surely bad tasting tonic, the orcs today were kept off the line of scrimmage, their usual stomping ground.

Vinak spent the first quater looking for passing options but with so much hard work for the orcs going on around the field there were no spare hands for a pass. The Slayers gobbos were left on the bench for the first drive knowing that there would be a serious risk of injury early in the game.

With his options limited a space opened up for vinak and he rushed the ball forward towards the party crews end zone. Sarfu used his pace to follow vinak whgen it became clear he was homing in on the TD himself.

The orc thrower upon reaching the endzone performed a dual TD celebration with Sarfu that wasted a few more minutes and by the time the tams were ready for the orc kickoff the first half was nearly over.

A highkick from Vinak gave the orcs time to set themselves for the undead drive. Prince and Kind set about their work on the line of scrimmage. Ryan collected the ball and looked for a pass which he fumbled, it wasnt to be the crews day.

A few scuffles and the referee blew up for half time. The slayers went in satisfied with their first half performance but there was more work to do in the second half.

Vinak kicked off again, this time the crew would have plenty fo time to look for an equalising TD. Prince and king went to work again, the orcs by now trying to stay away from the powerful mummies. Master and Blaster having spent most of the first half largely unsung started to be more overt in their actions, master pushing Gruz into touch early on. Ryan collected the ball but with his partners having been killed in the last few matches he had limited options. Master and Blaster being squarely involved in the rucks.

An opening down the orc right flank gave an opportunity for sarfu to make a lightning blitz on Ryan, and the ball went loose again from an undead hand. Vinak spotting the likely play had made himself as available as possible, but for the moment the ball was out of reach.

Nakgu Hammered disco's bones and left the skeleton needing some help, the black orc beat his chest and roared his bloodbowl cry. Thats one on the board for him!

Dirk scampered through the melee to provide Sarfu and Vinak with an option.

The orcs now switched play massively to a wing attack all of the orcs piliing into the right flank as far away from the mummies as possible.

The crew now started to readjust, the mummies lumbering slowly towards the fray. Master was struggling to keep the orcs from pouring through the flank along with Stubs. The undead players did well to hold things up giving the mummies a chance to get back into the game. Ryan made an audacious attempt to take the ball, blitzing vinak and knocking him to the ground, but the crew were outnumbered and pushed deep into their half and so they never managed to get the ball clear.

The second half was now well underway and it looked like the orcs would score again. Sarfu avenged Vinak by pushing ryan into the crowd andhelped the orcs play maker to his feet. Vinak collected the loose ball and made a short pass to Sarfu, these two really are developing an understanding. Sarfu and Dirk made off for the endzone.

Disaster for the slayers, Prince Rodan has seriously injured Barfu Stomach-Smasher, the orc apothecary heads onto the pitch but the damage is too serious, theres nothing he can do for the blocker and it looks like the slayers are going to be one down for their next match up. The apothecary has to duck a blow from the agitated mummy as he scampers off the field, directing his goblin stretcher team to the black orc (who cares if they get hit ?). It was remarkable the bandaged ones hadnt done more damage, maybe testament to the orcs toughness on the field.

Korz took a heavy hit from blaster and was consigned to the reserves box to recover from his KO. This is as much of a betaing as the orcs have taken in their games so far and the orc fans resolved to help their team to the final whistle. A mexican wave topped by a few screaming snotlings made its way around the orc fans and much cheering and roaring abounded. The orcs on the flank drew themselves into defensive positions looking to minimise the damage, as Sarfu Dirk and Vinak headed to the end zone.

Minutes left on the clock and the major gouping of players became a brawl as the game was pretty much over from a scoring perspective. The orc again cynically ran the clock down not giving the crew an attempt at a reply.

Finally the ball was handed to Sarfu for the TD, Dirk was available and really hoping for his first TD, but the orcs conspired together and the goblin was left out in the cold.

So the game finished 2 0 to the orcs, the only minus to them being the loss of Barfu for their next game.

Again an increased number of orc fans attended this match, the Slayers are really making a following for themselves.”
