The way things have gone lately,I've been thinking of taking a break from playing so as not to get frustrated and fed up with the game. Then there is always the 'one more game - my luck might change' and hoping this was it.
Well, i'll sum it up with - client tried its' hardest to let the other player win.
Anything to do with picking up, throwing, or catching the ball for me either failed, needed a reroll, or needed a reroll and failed. Too many skulls, failed dodges and ball handling made it a hard and frustrating game. The Dark Elves had their share of bad luck, but more or less outdiced me completely in the first half with some astonishing runs of nonfailing dice (tm) or Ko'd enough of my players to make the game 1 sided.
2nd half was better, in that my team didn't spend most of it on the floor or the sidelines, and after having my ball carrier downed by a blitzing no reroll 2 gfi 1 dice pow block, I figured "oh well, a draw is good when the opponent is getting most of the good luck - I can live with that". There were a number of successful dodges through tackle zones for both teams, more so for the elves but I'd gotten to the point where I didn't care if things worked - just try anyway, and it came off.
So when my chance to score failed with another duff pickup, I thought the game was over. Only for the Dark Elves to finally get a skull on a block and give me another chance to pick up - which came off. I still had to sweat it out for a gfi to score, but maybe I deserved a little bit luck after al lthe failed 3+, I don't know.
Always have to find the bright side/positives though.
Played a good coach who had very good dice for a lot of the game, won, got great cash, no missing players for next game (at least apo worked) and live to fight another day. I scored the injury on a foul, another game where I'd done nothing worse than KO players from blocks, and the Darkies Badly hurt a player (no apo use) and niggled one (apo used) late on - glad I saved it :)
Thanks for the game Teck1 - on another day you'd have snatched it, but I think the client gave you plenty of chances today to win. Then again, I would think that - I was on the receiving end :)
