Two well matched teams (I thought). What I had in power (2 x ST5 and block/mighty blow all over the place) the Necros had in speed and luck, for huge chunks of the game. 1st half I picked my players up, managed to sneak the ball away then lost it again and only went in 0-0 thanks to Necro being on last turn of half - they were away and clear.
2nd half went much much better for me - dropped 7 players off the field for the necros and scored - BIGGGGGGGG mistake, and it nearly cost me the win!
Instead of stalling two turns and scoring, I scored straight away and the Necros had all 6 - yes, 6/6 players come back. Luckily a got a perfect defence kickoff result which meant I got to tie up the Necros. Unluckily for me, they had an astonishing run of luck - pickup in tackle zone, dodge, handoff, dodge through two tackle zones then away, and ... gfi failed. Still had to sweat it out as my ST5 BOB got two block/pows (again - I'd been getting a lot of those all match - Block reqd urgently!) and it was up to my AG4 Blitzer to gfi twice and throw the ball to safety.
Hell, even for a possible, unlikely, score - I was still in range.
Fumbled.
Should have guessed it really.
Blocking was where my luck lie in the game, and in the 2nd half, KOing a few Necro (no cas for either side :( Wolf Badly hurt himself on a rare failed dodge) whereas the Necro had great block dice, awesome dodge dice and pretty good ball handling, especially the last sequence that had me on the edge of my seat to see if I'd be punished for the non stall.
Tense, exciting game played in good humour and Kongy is a better coach than his CR suggests, so am sure he will surprise a few guys.
Crap cash for both :( but I got +FF which is nice - I'm almost up to a starting teams now.
No cas either, so overall a great win for me when it could have been 1-1 so easily or even 2-1 had Kongy listened to my shout of "pass it to the wolf!" in the first half.

Thoroughly enjoyed this match. Edge of the seat the whole way through. I found my plans continually foiled by his Stand Firm/Guard Blitzer, who always seemed to be exactly where he shouldn't be. Guard a definite must on my Golems ASAP.
Only negative in whole match was loss of FF at the end.
And in the future when an opponent shouts to me to pass it to the wolf, I'm not going to assume it's a tongue in cheek suggestion for the look of the thing.
Great game, and an opponent I will very happily play again any time.”
