“JimĀ» "Boy oh Boy, did the flings put up with a fight..."
Coach OberĀ» "Yeah, they sure did. The game didn't develop according to my plans as we pushed 'em little buggers around for almost the entire first half. Ned scored on his debute, a beautiful two turner in the beginning of the match. The reply came grindin' for the entire half and close to the end, as I thought we had managed to set up a decent defense, the lads heard a surprisingly "Weeee" above in the sky. It came swooping down and landed in a sprint for our end zone! Fast reactions from some of the players got the little guy tightly cornered, but he managed to sneak between a pair of legs and ran for his very life to score the equalizer. In the second half one of their tree monster got a branch or two tight around the ball and started walking towards our end zone. Panic soon burst out as he proved unstopable. Still I don't think the guys put their mind to it, playing a bit unfocused. Our luck turned though, as the old oak lasted longer than his little companions and Guttenberg proved to be on a ripper's mood. Kerek trashed one near the end, which I think he was given the MVP for. He could've gone a bit easier on the poor fellow, but the fans apparently enjoyed it... The flings played excellent throughout the game and perhaps a victory should've been rewarded, but then again, the Goons seem to have a soft spot for ties and trees don't walk that fast."”
