<Meetgrinder> hiya - this lizard team ok or you want me to find another to play you?
<Nachelven> it ok
<Meetgrinder> ok no probs - wish you luck - Vampires are crazy :S
<Nachelven> ajaj
<Nachelven> is my firts time whit them
<Meetgrinder> just watch out for off for a bite :(
<Meetgrinder> and keep a thrall near the vampire
<Nachelven> yea
<Nachelven> is my first time playin it not my first play XD
<Meetgrinder> no probs, just making sure you know how screwy vampires can be :S
<Meetgrinder> that's why I offered different teams :S
That's what was said before the balls were set up. 4 turns each later, and it was all over :S
The Vampires had started pretty well - I'd failed a pickup, burnt through both rerolls in 2 turns, and had a badly hurt skink plus got a couple of stunned saurii on the floor. Off for a bite had been kind - nothing more than the odd stun, but a couple of KOs had taken out thralls, and worse was to come.
On a straight 2 dice block a Vampire died, regen failed, and the next block saw a Thrall niggled, and that, as they say , was that :(
Fair play to nachelven for even trying Vampires. If not for the Vamp dying maybe the game would've continued - I had the ball in scoring range for next turn so maybe would've scored but my blocks were erratic - one turn they would fail, the next, all succeed, well, as much as can be said for a game that lasted 4 turns.
Any game vs a new Vampire setup is a mismatch, and whilst I was purely hopeful on luck (Lizards are horrible until you have loads of rerolls) this setup is absolutely nuts. 7 players of Str 4 or more. Not sure if any other team can muster this, though of course it costs in terms of Fan Factor, so there are a couple of good reasons why teams won't play it.
Best of luck with new team Nachelven, sorry this one was so disastrous for you.”
