A rough game for both teams, but the Norse scraped it over the vamps thanks to block skill, though anything to do with handlling the ball quickly burnt through whatever rerolls I had left from rolling skull blocks (which, though not that many, were enough to make me want 6rr not 4 that I had).
Vamps suffered a couple of times from OFAB, had just about every kick off result bar Get The Ref (me, hence my fouls) and a Blitz plus extra rerolls, and a solid 10-20% more luck throughout the game. Mine never really went above what you see now, and that was from blocking. Failed pickups and at the end a failed quick pass bouncing onto the guy who'd thrown it stopped me from scoring a third when a hand off would've done the job, but game was won by then.
The Vamps got beat up a bit, but good cash lessens the pain and the +1 FF for both shows the fans liked it, with plenty of blood on the field and the Ko boxes busy for both teams. I finished with 8 players, the vamps with 6 I think - the handicap of I'm the greatest helped a lot by keeping a vamp off the field.
My fouls were useless, and in the 1st half, I spent more time picking up players than doing much of anything else. Luckily OFAB reared its head at certain times, and I was able to blitz the Vamp ball carrier with 2 dice, then pick up, short pass and away for the score. 2nd was far more clear cut. I slowed the ball right down, stalling a couple of turns until the vamps caught up with my guys and thinned them out with KOs, so it was time to score :S That's the risk you run with stalling, but I learnt that not stalling can cost me the win unless I get lucky. Tough choice.
