“Hotly debated within the coaching ranks of the ViQueens was whether or not to call a 5v5 match vs the Redbeards. Head coach Bride Childress won out when she suggested that while we may not win, we'd get less players hurt and might even squeak out a victory... or at least have a better chance at it than if the dorfs coudl field 11 players.
She was right.
The ViQueens cam out storming with an aggressive front in a 5v5 formation and gladly set up on defense first. Knocked the ball loose, got position and used the speed of Adrienne Peterson to score the first two touchdowns. The dorfs never got a chance to play dorf ball until the middle of the 2nd half when they were already down 3-0. Nuffle was with the Queens on all major moves and the only injury suffered results in our 2nd catcher wanting to play the game in her underwear (just like Winfield...)
More power to them, I say... the important thing is that instead of getting beat down by dorfs and being 2 games behind them in the standings - we survived and thrived and are now tied (though with head-to-head, we should be ahead ;)
Word to the New York no-so-Giants... expect the same.”
