“With dissension on the bench and little preparation, an undermanned mob of Orkz ran on the field, into some of the best and most consistent fouling ever witnesssed. Within minutes the argument about who was "The Greatest" became irrelevant, with Orkz unconcious all over the place. The Count had an off day (perhaps some H1N1 contaminated blood?) with the ball, and the Orkz luckily managed a second score in what could have been a very one sided smacking by the well coached and brutal Sovereigns.
3 pts #10 Vurn for EIGHT (8) Fouls
2 pts Nefarious for a really nice hit causing a Casualty
1 pt to the Count, for being the Star we all know and hate
“This was the first showing of the Sovereigns in the SWL Arena and they wanted to show they will be a force to be reckoned with.
Some extra cash in the coffers allowed the services of the Count to be employed for the match, but obviously this was an imposter, as he did not perform to his normal standards. The orcs tried to stall out their first score, but good pressure by the undead, saw them score earlier than planned.
Then an onside kick caught the Sovereigns off guard and allowed the Orkz to reclaim the ball and take a 2-0 lead going into the half. But injuries and some very groggy orcs in the ko box saw the undead score quickly, reducing the deficeit to 1. Failed blocks and the orcs putting up a elf like performance, saw the undead fall short of a draw, as they could not force a turnover against an undermanned Orkz squad.
3 points: Footrot'Hangnail - held onto the ball taking 3-4 blitzes to assure the win
2 points: Graaf - scored both touchdowns for the team
1 point: Stella'argh - did a great job in a supporting role with a pass and a couple of handy blocks
Yeah, top match Elan, would be great if we could have a rematch one day.”
