The norse won the toss, elected to receive, and exploded into action with a hard hitting start. PSV's pre-game taunting about dodgy moustaches didn't look so smart as two of their beardies were badly hurt and unable to play beyond half time. Inevitably, PSV responded and by the middle of the first half looked like taking control. Some key dodges and a burst of speed allowed the Daggers to escape a tricky situation, although even then it required Zara to pick the ball up and throw a pass to Celt Basher as time wound down in the first half.

The second half again started badly for PSV, this time with ball handling difficulties. But again they recovered and were looking good to score the equaliser when a magical intervention took the ball away from them. A couple of turns of frantic scrapping followed, before Dimitar Berbatov emerged with the ball and escaped up-field to seal the championship for the Daggers.
